GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATIONS 2025 COMPETITION

Organised in collaboration with the Self Determination for Gibraltar Group, Gibraltar Cultural Services launched a Poster Competition to discover a fresh and innovative design that could once again be used to promote the National Day programme of events. Alongside this initiative, an Essay Competition was also launched, inviting students to explore and articulate the significance of Gibraltar’s right to self-determination.

 

An awards presentation for both competitions was held today at the Mario Finlayson National Art Gallery where the following awards were presented.

 

Poster Competition

Winner: Tyler Pou – Bishop Fitgerald School

 

Essay Competition

1st Prize: Aiman Lamroussi

2nd Prize: Aditya Dhanwani

3rd Prize: Bryley Anne Mor

 

The Minister for Equality, Employment Culture and Tourism, The Hon Christian Santos GMD MP and Forty Azzopardi of the Self Determination for Gibraltar Group presented cheques amounting to £14,400 to local charities and volunteer groups involved in the National Celebrations, with funds raised during the Gibraltar Fair.

 

Cheques were presented to the following charitable organisations:

Gibraltar Woman’s Health Group

Men In Need

International Lions Club Gibraltar

Nazareth House

Phycological Support Group

Help Me Learn Africa
